Since its creation in 1894, the United States Golf Association (USGA) has been a key leader in the game of golf. Although it is most known as the game’s governing body and for its two major championships, the USGA has 58 Allied Golf Associations across the country and hosts 12 amateur championships each year.

Founded in 1978, the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of junior golfer who aspire to earn college golf scholarships. Through the work of regional directors, daily staff and seasonal interns, the AJGA hosts more than 100 tournaments a year for its junior golf members.
