Q: Do you work with a golf coach? If yes, what is his/her name?
AS: Yes, I work with Brad Smith, PGA Director of Instruction at Heatherwoode Golf Club.
Q: What were your top three tournaments of the SOPGA Jr. Tour Season and why?
AS: The Tour Championship at Muirfield Village was probably my favorite. It was awesome to get to hit shots from where the pros play from. My second favorite was the Oxford Jr. Classic at Indian Ridge. That was my first win of the year and a great start to the season. Then I would say the Pipestone Jr. Classic. I fought back from being three strokes down to win.
Q: What is your favorite golf course you have ever played?
AS: I would have to pick Muirfield Village. That was such a cool experience for this season.
Q: If you had to play a round of golf with only one club, what club is it and why?
AS: Might be a bold pick, but give me the driver baby!
Q: When did you start playing golf and what got you interested in the game?
AS: My dad is a golfer and at six years old I’d watch him hit balls around our farm, so I took my jr. club and starting hitting balls too. My dad yelled at me because not only did many of my shots land in the pond they were all Pro-V1’s. Since then I’ve learned to aim at targets, not hazards.
Q: If you could play golf with anyone, who would be your dream foursome and where would you play?
AS: I would play with my dad, Tiger Woods, and Scottie Scheffler. We would definitely play at Augusta National. That would be a dream come true.
Q: What was the highlight of your summer golf experience?
AS: Has to be the 2023 season opening tournament at Indian Ridge. Not only was it my first win but we competed in the worst conditions imaginable. It was cold, wet, and windy but when they handed me the medal and told me I’d qualified for Muirfield I didn’t feel a thing.
Q: What do you like to do outside of golf?
AS: I love to mow grass, work with my dad at the family restaurant, and visit my sister at Miami University!
