The El and Mary Collins Golf Management Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Elhanon “El” Collins, a beloved PGA Professional, teacher, and mentor whose influence on the game of golf spanned more than six decades. A U.S. Navy veteran and proud Eastern Kentucky University graduate, El dedicated his career to growing the game and serving others. As Head Golf Professional at Reid Memorial Golf Course for 35 years, President of the Southern Ohio PGA, and a PGA of America National Board member, El exemplified leadership, integrity, and service.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, El’s greatest passion was helping others—especially young golfers—discover and advance in the game. He founded the Springfield News-Sun Golf Clinic, introducing thousands of children to golf and instilling in them the values of sportsmanship and perseverance.
