PGA REACH Southern Ohio is the philanthropic arm of the Southern Ohio PGA Section, one of the 41 sections in the PGA of America. Established in 2010 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the PGA REACH Southern Ohio Foundation is committed to serving our communities and growing the game of golf through three pillars – Youth, Military, and Diversity & Inclusion. Programming such as the SOPGA Jr. Tour, PGA Jr. League and Drive, Chip and Putt aim to introduce the game to juniors and help develop them into golfers for life.
Established in 1946, the Southern Ohio Section of the PGA of America is an association of approximately 500 PGA Professionals and Associates who are dedicated to creating an environment for the game of golf to thrive throughout Central and Southern Ohio. The forward-thinking association focuses on first-class programs to advance the Southern Ohio PGA members, communities and the game of golf while honoring the history and values the game teaches.
The Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) founded in 1916, is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the game of golf while continuing to enhance the standards of the profession. The PGA of America is divided into 41 geographical Sections with each PGA Section operating within a framework of The PGA of America Constitution. The PGA of America is comprised of more than 28,000 men and women PGA Professionals who are dedicated to growing participation in the game of golf.
